
A two-hour, first-touch experience with a motorcycle, not designed to teach actual riding skills. Focused on reviewing a motorcycle’s primary parts and controls, it helps you determine whether motorcycling is a good personal choice. You are given the option to manipulate the controls while astride a motorcycle. A self-assessment component ensures you are of aware of the risks and requirements for being a good, safe and responsible rider.

Covers basic operating skills and principles for negotiating the varying terrain that the sport of off-highway riding involves. Motorcycles and helmets are provided for your use. Many street riders begin as dirt riders since the physical operating skills are similar, but the dirt environment is more forgiving than the street. This course is conducted entirely outdoors in an off-highway area. It is not a license waiver course.

This online course is a key component of the full hands-on Basic RiderCourse, but can also be completed as a stand-alone program without enrolling in a hands-on course. Graphics and videos illustrate the lessons to help you understand principles of motorcycling and determine whether motorcycling is right for you. The Basic eCourse alone is NOT accepted as a license waiver by any state’s DMV, or as a motorcycle license or learner’s permit. With Spanish language option.

Successful completion of this course, consisting of five hours of classroom activities and ten hours of on-cycle riding exercises, plus knowledge and skill tests, may waive the license test in your state. The course may also earn you an insurance discount. You may bring your own 3-wheel motorcycle, or one may be provided.

The Street Strategies eCourse is for riders who already have some experience and focuses on street/traffic strategies. It is similar to the MSF Basic eCourse, but basic learn-to-ride and motorcycle controls content is omitted and overall course time is reduced by nearly half. This eCourse alone is NOT accepted as a license waiver by any state’s department of motor vehicles, or as a license to ride a motorcycle or as a learner’s permit. Both eCourse include selectable Spanish text and audio.

For riders who already have basic skills. Similar to the BRC except speeds are higher and you should be on your own motorcycle. An excellent refresher course for practicing and renewing riding skills. Includes an informal classroom component for discussing safety concepts based on past riding experiences and current knowledge. If you do not need the license waiver component (no classroom activities and no knowledge or skill test), there is a “Skills Practice” offering.

Basic RiderCourse 2 – Skill Practice is similar to the BRC2 – License Waiver RiderCourse and is designed for riders who have a permit and possess basic skills. It consists of only riding exercises and does not include the three-hour eCourse. It is a perfect way for you to reinforce basic skill on your own motorcycle. A skill test is an option and may be provided as a self-assessment opportunity.

The ADVRC is a half-day introduction to riding adventure-type motorcycles on off-pavement surfaces.
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation has developed the AdventureBike RiderCourse (ADVRC) to be a fun, positive experience for ADV riders who wish to practice skills specific to ADV off-pavement riding. It provides fundamental skills on a low-traction surface with an emphasis on body position and control use specific to off-pavement riding. The course is for licensed riders who own an adventure bike (ADV) and have experience with it on the street. No experience riding off-pavement is required.

A one-day course that complements your basic skills and helps with personal risk assessment. It includes a fast-paced classroom segment with several fun interactive activities to improve perception and hazard awareness. Range exercises enhance both basic operating skills and crash-avoidance skills. Improving your braking and cornering finesse is emphasized. The course is beneficial for riders on any type of street motorcycle.

Advanced RiderCourse – Skill Practice is a partial-day course consisting only of riding exercises. Riders enrolling in this course should have completed the regular Advanced RiderCourse. Range exercises will go deeper into crash-avoidance skills. Improving your braking and cornering finesse is emphasized. The course is beneficial for riders on any type of street motorcycle. You must bring your own motorcycle.

Intersection is MSF’s approach to enhancing motorist awareness of motorcycles. The program combines personal stories and character development with a dramatic look at a crash scene that’s all too common. The DVD contains three separate 13-minute versions to appeal to teens (via driver education classes), adults (via traffic schools), and commercial drivers (via employee orientation). Includes Leader’s Guide and ten Participant’s Guides.

A group ride training event in a box. Popular among riding clubs and for motorcycle dealership events. The video kit contains enough material for a class of ten students. Learn about ride preparation, standards for organization of the ride, and important knowledge such as proper formations in complex traffic situations. The kit includes one Leader’s Guide, 10 student workbooks and a 16-minute DVD that depicts common group riding scenarios.

A kit for conducting seminars/events related to making wise choices regarding drinking and riding. Contains Facilitator’s Guide, Riding Straight video and interactive Fatal Vision® Simulator Goggles. The goggle activities allow the participant to experience effects of alcohol impairment with a sober mind – and no hangover. Delivers a powerful message in a fun and crowd-pleasing manner.
