Autumn Holley and Eric Trama met through an MSF Basic RiderCourse. Autumn was taking the licensing class with a friend, and Eric happened to be one of the coaches. But things didn’t happen right away. They both had busy lives and didn’t reconnect until a mutual friend organized a small group ride …

Autumn Holley: I grew up with a single mother in the Air Force in the panhandle of Florida. I started modeling as a teenager and made my way to New York for work and school. Throughout my childhood, I always yearned for adventure and the outdoors. In 2019, a friend and I decided to learn to ride motorcycles and get our motorcycle licenses, so we took the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic RiderCourse with Trama’s Auto School in Queens. I never thought that day would change my life forever. I ended up meeting my best friend, the love of my life, and the father of our son, Miles, who was born on May 28, 2023.
Eric Trama: Motorcycles have been a part of my life from the very beginning. Raised by parents who pioneered motorcycle training in New York State and embraced the Motorcycle Safety Foundation program early on, I was steeped in the world of two-wheel freedom. The rumble of my dad’s cherished 1984 BMW R100RT, still proudly in my possession, remains etched in my childhood memories. As a youngster, I’d stand by the front door, watching him kickstart adventures. Now, a quarter-century later, I stand in the same lot, guiding students through exercises that mirror my father’s teachings. Through this shared passion, destiny intervened, leading me to my beloved wife. Our journey continues with our newest addition, Miles, destined to carve his path on two wheels, carrying forward our profound love for the road.
